Cheryl Rafert

Cheryl became a Master Gardener in 2000. Through additional training, she is now an Advanced Master Gardener. She gives talks about organic vegetable gardening and heirloom gardening to community groups through the Speaker’s Bureau and offers classes at the Missouri Botanical Garden through its Adult Education Program. She became interested in growing plants as a child when she helped with her grandmother’s large vegetable garden. Cheryl enjoys many types of gardening including vegetable, herb, heirloom, and native plants. At last count she has over 100 native Missouri plants in her yard.
