The nation’s great grasslands, glaciated plains, rugged Ozarks, and broad river flood plains all converge in Missouri, providing this state with a multitude of diverse natural communities. Among these communities are prairie, forest, glade, cave, wetland and cliff. This program explores the physical makeup of these communities, as well as the plants and animals that inhabit them.
