Ginny is a retired RN and USAF military. She is a member of the St. Louis Herb Society, and St. Louis Wild Ones. She volunteers at the Missouri Botanical Garden as a docent and an interpreter, and with the horticulture department in the Climaron. She is on the MBG Members Board and is an Advanced Master Gardener. She also volunteers with Forest ReLeaf.
